Heathers ending

This is the link to heathers ending of the documentary. This is what was lost at the end. Some of the sound is out of sync aswell which we would have fixed had we have been able to get the footage with enough time to add the sound back to it.

First ending and Anamatic edit plan

Ok so we've had a lot of problems with the end of the edit since I left! But thanks for re-cutting it, I still don't understand why the end of my quick time didn't work when my version on my hard drive works perfectly. But I thought I would put up the ending as I managed to upload it to Youtube at the last minute.



Also, I left my Anamatic edit plan on the desktop for Chelsea to burn onto a DVD to put in the group folder. Unfortunately, this didn't work either so I've uploaded my version (which is again working perfectly!?) onto youtube for you to have a look at and so I have some proof that I did do an edit plan!



If there's one thing I've learnt from all these problems is to get my own mac for editing!

Group Folder

I've pretty much sorted out the group folder! Just going through the blog now and finding some of the articles we came across and printing them out to add as research, also I'm going to annotate these and pin point which information is relevant to us!

Such a same about the ending but I'm sure we'll do fine, well done everyone!

Just want to make sure that everyone has done their 1000 evaluation too!

so ended up having to re edit the end and join it onto the end of Heathers edit. This is a shame as we ended up loosing footage due to not having the tapes. Now the end is simply day four of the experiment, followed by Danni's final thoughts in an interview with Verity. Then ending up with the voiceover over the abstract footage that was at the beginning. Weve had to lose some of the footage that could improve it that were in Heathers edit such as cutting back to the vox pop with the girl saying that communication should be face to face and you don't really know how people are feeling through facebook etc... Heather also cut back to something that Will Reader said in the interview relating to communication, however we havent been able to use these in the final edit. Sorry Heather about these problems? Still don't really know what happened to it? Think everything is finally sorted now though and ready for monday :)

little problems

ok so we all know about the problems we have had with editing. Me and Tom managed to get the majority of Heathers edit onto the mac but the last 3 minutes is missing. not really sure how or why this happened? So Heather emailed me the last 3 minutes yesterday from her version but i didn't get it for some reason. So i think she is going to try again and then we will be able to join the two sections. However if this doesnt work i have edited together the last three minutes with the footage i have. As i dont have some of the tapes of footage i have simply had to edit with the footage i have. Hopefully Heathers version will send over later today. As Tom didn't have all of the footage he has worked on the sound in the parts he did. I think he has added the music and he has also synched up all of the bits that werent quite in sync.

see you guys tomorrow at 12 to try and sort this out :)

So to avoid any confusion over my borrowing the music from old NES games I looked into it the games i am using were all produced by a company called LJN witch no longer exists in 2000 LJN became defunct and was bought up by its successor company acclaim entertainment how ever they also became defunct in 2004

the one game that I have used music from that is not under LJN is silver surfer for the NES witch is under Arcadia Systems witch also became defunct in

Ok so the edit's nearly done and is now a much easier to stomach 12 minutes. I've had to download a couple more youtube videos for cutaway material so thought I'd post them on here for everyone to see (the Peter Chapman one I only wanted for the subtitled CCTV footage by the way!)
